Parmesan Chili Baked Steak Fries Recipe

These Parmesan Chili Steak Fries are the perfect side to a nice juicy burger or rich tender steak. They are easy to make and better for you since they are not fried in a layer of oil. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, they will be the only fries you will ever want to eat!

Parmesan Chili Baked Steak Fries
Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp minced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1-1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 1/2 lbs Russet Potatoes
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Fill a large mixing bowl with ice water. Peel and cut your potatoes into large 1/4-1/2 inch sticks. Add potatoes to the bowl of ice water and allow to sit for an hour. By doing this you are removing the starch from the potatoes which allows them to get crispier in the oven (since we are not frying them).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oil with the chipotles, garlic, Parmesan, paprika, lemon juice, pepper and salt, and set it aside.
  3. Remove the cut steak fries from the ice water and place them on a dry kitchen towel in a single layer. Gently blot them with an additional kitchen towel until dry. Add the potatoes to the bowl of chipotle, oil and spices mixture and toss the fries until they’re completely coated. Spread the fries out in one layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 45 minutes (flipping the fries at the halfway mark). Cook until they are slightly golden brown in color and crispy. Serve warm and sprinkle with dash of sea salt.
